Who We Are:

The Awrey Family moved to Detroit from Ontario in 1910. In an effort to support her family, Elizabeth Awrey began to sell cookies, cakes and pies, all baked in her home’s coal fired oven. While not the original plan for the family, Mrs. Awrey’s  sweet creations became so popular that the families next steps were clear: go into the baking business.

So we welcome you to Awrey Bakery, your online portal for all things delicious.  We offer a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, brownies the varieties are growing.  As a consumer, shopping for family and friends, let your eyes feast upon what we have to offer, we welcome you to taste them for yourself.

What We Do:

Whether you are a retailer, distributor, broker  or if you are searching for a contract manufacture, our baking facility produces the best the Detroit area has to offer.  We offer a wide variety of Awrey brand product for retailers and distributors.

 

For Foodservice we offer a wide variety of sheet cakes & brownies, bulk Corn Toaster Rounds (cornbread without crumbs), cookies, fruit filled shortbread bars, Danish in several sizes, coffee cake, and more. We successfully blend handmade quality and thaw-and-serve convenience with competitive prices. Over a century of experience and state of the art technology allow Awrey to provide the foodservice market ready to serve, homemade quality products.

 

Contract Baking:

Awrey is your national contract baking facility specializing in co-packing, bring us your project, we will review with you, to see how we can help.  Our facility has a Gluten Free bakery within the bakery producing Granola’s and Granola Bars. There has been a tremendous addition of packaging equipment installed with more high speed wrappers on the way.
